Of course they have wondered: What team do I need to develop a video game? The possibilities of choosing are infinite and they always tend to go away for the most powerful thing. To annotate a little, Valve has shared the specifications of the teams that they use to develop both games and updates in his platform Steam. These configurations change every 18 months for what I leave to them the current list and the one that glides to be implemented shortly.
Current teams:
Teams to future:
I surprise two things, first it is the loss of 800MB of RAM in the current configuration for one uses a Windows of 32 - bit and second it is the step backwards on having chosen a spendthrift Intel on a Zalman. For a recent experience I have verified that the fans that come with the processor do not give the breadth when they surrender to heavy work; here it is where Zalman goes out to the rescue since it has prevented me to come to 45ºC in full map compilation for UT3.
Enviable the second configuration, somewhat costly but at the end of accounts you will have the certainty of which one of the most important studies they use it therefore there is no pretext to say that you remain short on having used Source.
